Affiliate links and disclosures

This page explains, in plain English, how Automate Your Hours works and makes money, and what that means for you. It isn't legal advice. It's just how we work.

How recipes are tested

Every recipe is tested by our AI agents in a test shop and reviewed by Jesse. Until a recipe passes, its page says Not yet tested. Order recipes are tested on sample order files shaped like real Etsy orders, because Etsy has no test mode for orders. No purchases are made for testing. Recipes are re-tested monthly, and any that fail are marked broken until they pass again.

AI in the recipes

One starter recipe, AI-drafted listing descriptions, uses an AI step that runs inside your own Make account (Make's built-in AI provider). It writes a first draft from facts you type into your own Google Sheet. It never publishes anything, and it doesn't pull data from your Etsy shop or use buyer details. If your item itself is made with AI, Etsy requires you to say so in the listing. Etsy's rules don't cover AI-written description text, but every description must be accurate, so review and edit each draft before you use it.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site, in our emails and in posts about the site may be affiliate links. If you click one and sign up or buy, we may earn a commission. You don't pay anything extra.

• Programs we plan to join include Make, eRank and EverBee. None has approved us yet. Until a program approves us, its links are plain links that earn nothing.
• Every affiliate link is labeled where it appears, with a short disclosure right beside it.
• You never need to use an affiliate link to follow a recipe.
• A commission doesn't change a recipe's test result, its time-saved label, or whether we mark it broken.

Our own product

We sell the Setup Bundle for Etsy Sellers for $29 at launch ($39 regular price): Sheet templates, Make blueprints, a troubleshooting guide and 12 months of updates. When we mention it, it's our own product and we earn money from it. The recipes stay free, with full steps, whether or not you buy anything.

Refunds: If you're not happy with the Setup Bundle, ask for a refund within 14 days of buying it and you'll get your money back, no questions asked. Write to hello@automateyourhours.ai (once forwarding works).

Sponsors

We may accept sponsors in our emails or on the site. Sponsored content is always labeled "Sponsored". Sponsors can't pay to have a recipe included or to change a test result or a time-saved number.

What our labels mean

• Time saved: Estimated means we worked out the number from stated assumptions (how many listings or orders a week, how many steps, minutes per step). Measured means our agents timed the manual way and the automated way and kept the log. Either way, your result depends on your shop. These numbers describe time, not money, and we don't promise any income or sales.
• Not yet tested / Live-tested / Mock-tested tells you whether and how a recipe has passed, with the date of the last pass.
• Seller-policy-safe is our own check that a recipe doesn't email, text or market to buyers outside Etsy using order data. Etsy doesn't review or endorse it, and you're still responsible for following Etsy's policies in your shop.
• Tool prices are marked[price-check] until they're checked on the tool's own pricing page. Prices change, so check before you sign up.

Your Etsy shop and data

You connect your own Etsy shop to your own Make account. Automate Your Hours never sees or handles your Etsy login. No recipe sends Etsy data to Kit (or any mailing list), and none messages buyers automatically. Your shop data goes only where the recipe says: your own Google Sheets, or (for the low-stock alert) an email to your own address.

Email and your data

We send email with Kit. When you sign up, Kit stores your email address, your first name if you give it, and tags that show which form you used and which email series you're in. Kit's open and click tracking is on, so Kit records whether you open our emails and which links you click. We use that to see which lessons and recipes are useful. We never add Etsy shop or buyer data to Kit. Every email includes our mailing address and an unsubscribe link. We don't sell your email address. More in our privacy policy.

Recipes work with Etsy via Make's Etsy integration. Make is a trademark of its owner, and Automate Your Hours is not affiliated with or endorsed by Make. Other product names are used only to say which tools a recipe works with.
